Together, the class will have fun with the works of William Shakespeare. Child-appropriate chunks of the Bard's works will lay a foundation for reading or performing his original works. These students will enter Shakespeare’s world, 'see' the settings, ‘hear’ the characters speak and feel their emotions, and together with their teacher create an exciting performance piece! The audience will enjoy a presentation at the end of each term and a stage production in the Spring Student Showcase.

This course will cover all of the requirements for the Canterbury visual arts portfolio. Also available to teens wanting to attend De la Salle or pursuing their own interest in art. This course is open to new and returning students. Students are asked to bring their own sketchbooks each class. (Tuition includes one draped model.)

Monster Madness - workshop

Come and create your very own hand built pottery monster! (Minimum age 6 years) Each participant will design 1 monster using clay. During this 1.5 hour workshop participants will learn the pinch pot and coil methods of handbuilding. The participant will complete their monster by painting it with coloured slip. Our technicians will take care of firing your monster in our kilns. The monsters will be ready 2 weeks after the workshop for you to pick up.

A Thunder of Dragons Workshop (bilingual)

Come and create your very own hand built pottery dragon! Each participant will design 1 dragon using clay. During this 1.5 hour workshop participants will learn the pinch pot and coil methods of handbuilding. The participant will complete their dragon by embellishing it with textures.
