Barokan

Descended from a lineage of Malian griots, Djely Tapa offers a repertory suspended between Sahelian, blues and electro atmospheres. Reflecting her musical identity, her album Barokan is a tribute to women and Africanness. In May 2019, Djely Tapa was named Révélation Radio-Canada Musique du Monde and Barokan was named "Best World Music Album" at the 2020 Junos.
